Robert Half is partnering with a leading global shipping company, looking for a Senior Office Manager based in central London.

\nResponsibilities
\nAdministration & Building Management
\n- \n
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships, from selection and contract negotiation to performance evaluation. \n
- Oversee procurement activities, including inventory management and distribution of office supplies and consumables. \n
- Plan and manage office renovation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders. \n
- Coordinate and oversee building management activities, ensuring operational efficiency, prompt repairs, and compliance with safety standards, working alongside the landlord's building management team. \n
- Liaise with the Compliance team to provide accurate data required for company audits. \n
- Provide local IT support to employees, and support IT HQ with coordination, ordering, and roll-out of new equipment. \n
Finance
\n- \n
- Administer and prepare invoices for payment, liaising with and coordinating our external local accountant on tax and accounting matters. \n
- Manage petty cash, including cash advance payments in multiple currencies, plus monitoring, control, and accounting of expense statements. \n
- Monitor the local bank account, oversee cash flow requirements, and initiate payment transactions for the office. \n
- Prepare monthly bookkeeping information for the external accountant and support administration of government surveys. \n
Events
\n- \n
- Own end-to-end planning for corporate and internal events. \n
- Manage the entire event process from initial concept to final execution, meeting all requirements, audience needs, and objectives, and bringing creative ideas to enhance each event's success. \n
- Identify, source, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best partnerships, and maintain strong ongoing relationships for quality and timely delivery. \n
- Provide on-site and remote support during events, resolving issues quickly to keep everything running smoothly. \n
- Work closely with local accommodation partners to secure the best rates and service. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Minimum 5 years' relevant senior office management experience, preferably with some events experience. \n
- Notable experience in a similar role - someone who needs genuine care and attention to detail, not hand-holding. \n
- An empathetic, caring, and service-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills, who enjoys cooperating, interacting, and supporting colleagues with a hands-on approach. \n
- A positive, helpful, and employee-focused attitude towards colleagues, with the right attitude and a bubbly, sociable personality comfortable with workplace banter and not overly sensitive. \n
- A flexible, yet detail-oriented team player who is well-organised, proactive, and able to think outside the box to adapt to changing needs. \n
- Confidence building relationships across departments and geographies, and openness to learning about industries outside your prior experience. \n
- Competence in prioritising tasks, working within deadlines, and managing multiple projects at the same time. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable using Microsoft Teams. \n
- Not afraid to get stuck in and take initiative from day one. \n
