The Role:

  • Managing a varied caseload of Commercial Litigation matters, including contract disputes and broader business conflicts
  • \n
  • Advising clients on shareholder, partnership, and director disputes
  • \n
  • Handling matters from instruction through to resolution, including litigation and ADR
  • \n
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation across Commercial Litigation cases
  • \n
  • Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice to a diverse client base, including those with international reach
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • \n
  • Attending client meetings, negotiations, and court hearings, with advocacy opportunities
  • \n
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the Birmingham disputes team
  • \n

The Candidate:

    \n
  • A Commercial Litigation Solicitor operating from circa 1–4 years’ PQE (Associate or Senior Associate level), with flexibility to consider candidates up to 6 years’ PQE
  • \n
  • Strong technical expertise across Commercial Litigation matters
  • \n
  • Experience gained within a reputable boutique, regional, national, or international firm
  • \n
  • A solid grounding in traditional commercial disputes work
  • \n
  • Commercially aware, with strong client-handling and communication skills
  • \n
  • Ambitious and motivated, with an interest in business development and contributing to team growth
  • \n
