\nThe Opportunity
\nThe business is currently delivering a £30M&E commercial new build project in Central London and requires an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to take full responsibility for the mechanical package.
\nThis is a high-impact leadership role, offering autonomy, visibility, and long-term development opportunities within a major M&E contractor.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the full mechanical package, ensuring all works meet the highest technical, quality, and compliance standards. \n
- Ensure full compliance with all design, engineering, construction, and commissioning processes, driving best practice across the project. \n
- Provide clear and regular progress updates to the Project Director, ensuring alignment on milestones. \n
- Add value to the design process by challenging methodology, improving buildability, and reducing whole-life cost where possible. \n
- Build and manage strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, main contractors, and wider engineering teams. \n
- Oversee procurement, resourcing, and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery. \n
- Ensure high-quality installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all mechanical systems. \n
Skills & Background

- Proven experience running multiple £10M+ M&E commercial new build projects through the full lifecycle. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services within large-scale commercial environments. \n
- Demonstrable leadership experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors. \n
- Excellent understanding of procurement, project controls, installation methodologies, and commissioning processes. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. \n
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced project environments while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards. \n
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or industry-recognised certifications. \n
