Powered Access Engineer

Smiths Equipment Hire Ltd are the Northwest's Largest Independent Equipment Hire company with 21 Hire It Centres located across the region.Were currently in a period of expansion across the business, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Powered Access Engineer to join the team in the Yorkshire region. You will be repairing and refurbishing all our powered access equipment and working closely with all our Hire It Centres. You will also work closely with all our Service Engineers in all Hire It Centres and report directly to the Depot Manager.We are looking for a self-motivated and professional individual who wants to play an integral role in our fast growing company. You will need to have experience within the powered access rental market.The key responsibilities for the Powered Access Engineer are;Be able to display knowledge with hydraulic systems, electric motors, diesel enginesThe ability to fault findCarry out routine servicesMaintenance of the machinesPre-delivery inspectionsKeep accurate records of work carried outCarry out major and minor repairs and refurbishmentsBe able to estimate any damage/repair costsBe able to work at the pace and to the required quality off jobs as allocated to you on a daily basis by the Depot / ManagerThe key attributes of the Powered Access Engineer are;CAP certification would be beneficial or close in pointsBe Self-motivatedTake pride in work to ensure the machines are kept in a pristine stateBeing calm under pressureGreat written and verbal communication skillsGood team playerHave a Full Clean UK Manual Driving Licence due to attending site breakdownsMaintain Health and Safety to Company StandardsWorking hours: Monday FridayBenefits what we offer youSalary: Depending on Experience25 Days plus statutory holidays (33 days in total)An extra 2 days holiday after 5 years serviceWeekly payFREE tool hire for all employees - Excluding consumables and deliveryGroup Life Cover is provided at three times your annual salaryMy Wellbeing ServicesEmployee Referral SchemePension schemeFull uniform providedDiscounted personal legal servicesTPBN1_UKTJ
