This is accessible from Winsford, Northwich, Middlewich, Rudheath, Barnton, Frodsham, Chester, Crewe, Sandbach, Congleton and the surrounding areas.Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment anditsimportant that our people come from a variety ofdifferent backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesThe role of Multi Skilled Operative is part of a key team of Operatives producing dry aggregates material for the construction industry. As well as delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations, as Multi Skilled Operative you will specifically focus on operational tasks including:Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery, mobile plant and marine dredging plant(including loading shovels, excavator and dumper)Weighbridge dutiesLoading shovel (mobile plant)Day to day maintenance of the plant, maintaining the highest levels of housekeepingTraining and operation on static plant operations to help drive plantoptimisationWorking in a team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveriesEnsuring that Plant availability ismaximisedAssisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targetsMaintaining and driving a culture of zero harm andbehaviouralsafetyCompliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the siteThe Ideal CandidateSuitable candidates for the role Multi Skilled Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar aggregates environment or an Industrial or Factory environment as an Operative or Labourer.As part of an operational team, the ideal candidate for the role of Multi Skilled Operative will also:Experience working within a Health and Safety based environmentGood timekeeping and time management essentialExperience of operating mobile plant including Loading Shovel, Dumper and ExcavatorHave knowledge of Risk Assessments (ideally within role of Operative)Be flexible and happy to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operational team, adapting to different tasks within the overall teamBeself motivatedand able to motivate colleagues within the teamGood communication skillsKnowledge and experience of the industry, mobile plant and quarrying preferred but not essentialPrevious experience in mobile plant operations as a Multi Skilled Operative beneficial but not essential as training will be given to the successful candidateFull UK DrivingLicenceBe IT literateWhy TarmacWe don't just offer a job, we offer a career.Alongside this role, you'll have access to industry-leading rewards, development opportunities, and a culture that puts people first, including:Bonus schemeEnhanced holiday entitlementContributory pension schemeAccess to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential adviceAccess to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.
