No1 Lounges is an award‑winning airport lounge operator, delivering premium yet accessible pre‑flight experiences to over three million passengers each year. We operate a network of 17 lounges across major UK airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Luton and Jersey.

The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring No1 Lounges has the right people, with the right skills and contract mix, in the right place at the right time to deliver operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.

\n

Reporting to the Operations Director, the role will lead workforce planning, labour forecasting and workforce analytics across the business. Working closely with Operations, People, Payroll and Finance, the role will develop labour models, staffing structures and recruitment forecasts that support business growth while optimising labour cost and productivity.

\n

The role will also play a key part in the design and implementation of the company's HRIS programme, leading the definition of workforce planning, scheduling, labour management, leave planning and workforce reporting requirements to ensure future systems support a modern, data-driven approach to workforce management.

Key Responsibilies

\n

Workforce Planning

\n
    \n
  • Develop and maintain the workforce planning methodology used across the business, ensuring a consistent, data-driven approach to labour modelling, forecasting and resource planning.
  • \n
  • Develop labour models and staffing structures for each lounge, ensuring workforce supply aligns with guest demand and service requirements.
  • \n
  • Review workforce requirements regularly and recommend changes in response to seasonal demand, airline gains and losses, operational changes and business growth.
  • \n
  • Determine the appropriate mix of full-time, part-time and flexible labour required across the estate.
  • \n
  • Support annual labour budgeting and workforce planning activities.
  • \n

Workforce Analytics & Forecasting

\n

  • Develop workforce forecasts covering recruitment demand, attrition, labour utilisation and productivity.
  • \n
  • Identify emerging workforce risks and provide recommendations to support operational resilience.
  • \n
  • Produce workforce reporting and insights to support decision-making across Operations, Finance and People.
  • \n
\n

Labour Optimisation

\n
    \n
  • Analyse labour utilisation, overtime, absence and roster effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • \n
  • Recommend and implement workforce planning methodologies that improve productivity whilst maintaining service standards.
  • \n
  • Partner with operational leaders to review labour deployment and staffing structures.
  • \n

HRIS & Process Improvement

\n
    \n
  • Lead workforce planning and labour management requirements gathering for the HRIS programme.
  • \n
  • Map current workforce planning processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • \n
  • Support HRIS design, testing and implementation activities relating to workforce planning, scheduling and workforce reporting.
  • \n

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key interface between Operations and People, ensuring workforce plans are translated into clear recruitment and workforce requirements.
  • \n
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on workforce planning, labour optimisation and staffing strategies across the business.
  • \n
\n


\n

Skills and Experience

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, labour modelling, resource planning or workforce optimisation within a multi-site operation.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting labour, productivity and workforce data.
  • \n
  • Experience developing workforce forecasts and planning models that support operational decision making.
  • \n
  • Experience working with scheduling, workforce management, HRIS or labour planning systems.
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across Operations, People, Payroll and Finance.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • \n
  • Experience within hospitality, aviation, retail, leisure or other labour-intensive environments would be advantageous.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting systems implementation or business process improvement projects is desirable.
  • \n

Working Arrangements

\n

This is a hybrid role. You’ll split your time between working from home, our Central London office and our lounge sites as and when required. The balance will naturally flex based on business priorities and needs.
