\nWe are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of Building Technologies to lead a successful curriculum area encompassing Plumbing, Construction and Brickwork. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to drive curriculum excellence, enhance learner outcomes and strengthen industry engagement within a well-established Further Education environment.
\nWorking closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, while developing provision that meets both learner aspirations and industry needs.
\nThe Role
\nAs Head of Building Technologies, you will:

- Lead, manage and develop curriculum teams across Plumbing, Construction and Brickwork. \n
- Drive outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices. \n
- Shape and develop curriculum provision in line with employer and industry requirements. \n
- Monitor performance, achievement and progression data to support continuous improvement. \n
- Manage staffing, resources, budgets and timetabling effectively. \n
- Support, coach and develop teaching staff to maximise performance and learner outcomes. \n
- Build strong relationships with employers and external stakeholders. \n
- Contribute to marketing, recruitment and promotional activities. \n
- Deliver a small teaching commitment of approximately 3 hours per week. \n
- Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion and learner success. \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n- \n
- A teaching qualification and relevant vocational background within construction, plumbing, brickwork or a similar discipline. \n
- Significant experience within Further Education. \n
- Proven leadership and management experience within a curriculum setting. \n
- A strong track record of improving teaching, learning and learner outcomes. \n
- Experience using performance data to drive quality improvements. \n
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills. \n
- A passion for developing staff and supporting learner achievement. \n
- The ability to inspire high-performing teams and lead change effectively. \n
