Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership Special Educational Needs Schools based in the Burton on Trent, with a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for children with SEN.

\n

This is a wonderful, dedicated SEN School which is part of a successful trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to.

The Role:

    \n
  • Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1
  • \n
  • Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
  • \n
  • Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
  • \n
  • Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
  • \n
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
  • \n
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • \n
\n

The Hours:

    \n
  • Monday to Thursday - 08:15 to 16:30
  • \n
  • Friday - 08:15 to 15:00
  • \n
\n

The Ideal Candidate:

\n
    \n
  • Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
  • \n
  • Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
  • \n
  • Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
  • \n
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
  • \n
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • \n
  • Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability)
  • \n
