GCSE English & Maths Tutor

KBM Training & Recruitment is seeking a passionate and experienced GCSE English & Maths Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching to learners preparing for GCSE English Language and/or GCSE Mathematics qualifications.

The successful candidate will inspire and support learners to develop their knowledge, confidence, and exam skills, enabling them to achieve their GCSE qualifications and progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging GCSE English and/or GCSE Mathematics lessons.
\n
• Assess learners' starting points and develop individual learning plans to meet their needs.
\n
• Prepare learners for GCSE examinations through structured teaching, revision, and exam practice.
\n
• Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to support achievement.
\n
• Ensure all teaching and assessment activities comply with awarding body and funding requirements.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the quality, safeguarding, and learner support teams to achieve positive learner outcomes.
\n
• Participate in team meetings, standardisation activities, and continuous professional development (CPD).
\n

Essential Requirements

\n
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, Cert Ed, AET, CET or equivalent).
\n
• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or GCSE Mathematics.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the current GCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience teaching learners aged 16–19 or adult learners.
\n
• Experience preparing learners for GCSE examinations with awarding bodies such as AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, or WJEC.
