6-month contract (initially – likely extension)£46 - £52 per hour umbrella (Inside IR35)80% onsite in FiltonJob Role:An exciting opportunity for a FEM & Digital Specialist has arisen with our client in Filton. The job holder will join the GFEM and Digital Analysis Team within the Wing Engineering community.The successful candidate will contribute towards the success of a dynamic team responsible for the definition and delivery of FE loads strategy and enablement in support of Wing Design solutions and the development and deployment of innovative FE simulation and digital projects within the transnational DDMS framework answering complex challenges in a multifunctional context.The job holder will be operating at Wing level across all Programmes.Key Responsibilities:Support the development of GFEM and DFEM projects across all ProgrammesAnalyse and Validate FE and Stress data while proposing design solutions that are optimised in terms of weight, cost, performance and manufacturing requirementsDeliver Static and Fatigue enablement to the Wing design teams in line with commitments and internal quality processDeliver new GFEM and DFEM modelling solutionsDeliver digital solutions to optimise Wing structure enablement processes fostering collaboration with IA and IG transnational colleaguesDefine new ways of work in line with the DDMS strategyEnsure adherence to relevant regulations, design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities' guidelinesInterface and communicate with relevant stakeholdersChallenge technical requirements and drive a ‘change and simple solutions' mindsetDevelop GFEM and DFEM activities within the teamRun and interpret FE resultsAct as a focal point for FE and digital activities at Wing level defining tasks priorities, highlighting risks and propose mitigationsDeliver new FE modelling and digital solutions to shape optimised ways of workActively contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's tools, processes, procedures and ways of work by challenging “status quo” and proposing innovative ideas in line with the DDMS and Wing strategyReport operationally to the Engineering Team Leader and functionally to the Senior Engineers and ExpertsKey Skills and Experience:Educated at degree level in Aerospace EngineeringRequired professional experience: 5-10 yearsKnowledge and experience with FEM tools, i.e. Hyperwork, Hypermesh and MSC NastranFEM Signature delegation is an added advantageExperience with the idealisation of Wing component structure with Finite Element MethodologyISAMI competent user is an advantageKnowledge and experience with UNIX based platforms would be appreciatedDynamic individual with great team spirit, ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas and willingness to developTPBN1_UKTJ
