English Teacher – Specialist SEN School | West Sussex | Full-Time

The Role:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
\n
• Differentiate teaching to support a range of learning abilities and communication styles.
\n
• Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
\n
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team.
\n
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise achievement.
\n

About the Pupils:

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
\n
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
\n
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

A patient, flexible and nurturing approach is essential, along with a commitment to helping every student succeed.

We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
\n
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
\n
• A passion for inclusive education
\n
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
\n
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
\n
• Previous experience within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
\n
