\n\nA secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join its Physical Education department for the 2026/27 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys delivering a broad curriculum, promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging pupils to achieve their personal best both inside and outside the classroom.
\n\nThe department delivers a varied programme of practical and theoretical lessons, supported by quality indoor and outdoor facilities. Pupils participate in a wide range of activities throughout the year, with opportunities to represent the school in local competitions and extracurricular sport.
\n\nTeachers with experience of delivering a second secondary subject are encouraged to apply, as this would be an advantage when timetables are planned. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is also welcomed but is not essential.

Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based lessons.
\n - \n
Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
\n - \n
Encourage participation, teamwork and positive sporting values.
\n - \n
Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures or enrichment activities where appropriate.
\n - \n
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department.

Who we're looking for

Experience teaching PE within a secondary school.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent organisation and communication.
\n - \n
A commitment to supporting pupils of all abilities.

QTS is preferred.
\n - \n
Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
\n - \n
Experience teaching an additional secondary subject would be beneficial.
