\nWe are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Driver (Class 2) to join our client in Paddock Wood, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Category C Driver looking for a stable, ongoing role with a competitive pay rate and the potential to secure a permanent position.\n
\nLocation: Paddock Wood, Kent\n
\nPay Rate: ⭐ £17.50 per hour (PAYE) \n
\nHours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 - 17:00 | No weekends\n
\nContract: Ongoing temporary with a temp-to-perm opportunity\n
\nThe Role \n
\n
\nAs an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections across the region. This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver, Cat C Driver, or Rigid Driver who enjoys a varied role combining driving and yard-based duties.\n
\nResponsibilities \n
\n
\nCarrying out local deliveries and collections (depot to depot) as required \n
\nAssisting in the yard during quieter driving periods \n
\nMoving pallets safely and efficiently around the yard \n
\nSupporting loading and unloading activities \n
\nConducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations \n
\nWorking closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations \n
\nWhat We're Looking For \n
\n
\nValid Class 2 (Category C) licence \n
\nValid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card \n
\nPrevious experience as an HGV Driver, LGV Driver, or HGV Class 2 Driver \n
\nA positive, flexible attitude and willingness to assist with yard duties \n
\nGood knowledge of driver compliance and road transport regulations \n
