Freelance Site Manager – Cornwall
6 Week Contract | Starts Monday 10th August
£370-390 per day PAYE
\nA highly respected UK construction and property services contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join an ongoing education sector project in Cornwall, for a 6-week contract commencing Monday 10th August.
\nThe business has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the education, healthcare, commercial, public sector and infrastructure markets. With a collaborative approach and a strong emphasis on safety, sustainability and quality, they continue to deliver complex schemes that leave a lasting positive impact on the communities they serve.
\nThis role is based on a significant redevelopment project at a further education campus, delivering modern teaching and learning facilities designed to enhance the student experience. The project involves the construction and refurbishment of specialist educational spaces, requiring a proactive Site Manager capable of maintaining programme, quality and safety standards throughout the build.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site. \n
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). \n
- Monitoring workmanship to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved. \n
- Promoting and enforcing health, safety and environmental policies across the site. \n
- Undertaking regular site inspections and addressing any issues promptly. \n
- Liaising with the Project Manager regarding progress, programme and site activities. \n
- Carrying out any additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager to support successful project delivery. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience managing construction projects at a Site Manager level. \n
- SMSTS. \n
- CSCS Card black card. \n
- First Aid at Work. \n
- Strong subcontractor management and communication skills. \n
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and site best practice. \n
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality whilst working to programme. \n
