This role will leverage extensive central government contracting expertise and commercial analysis capabilities to provide sound advice and guidance around pricing, contract terms, and risk mitigation in partnership with account stakeholders. The Lead will utilize commercial acumen to develop and maintain all necessary guidelines and manuals associated with relevant contractual and operational processes. This role will provide strategic leadership to the JLL operational team, ensuring all staff are well trained on contract management and understanding of commercial impact. The Lead will ensure that appropriate processes and controls are in place to maintain the integrity of all contractual arrangements and compliance with client requirements.ResponsibilitiesThe Commercial Lead will be responsible for:Business Partnering and Contract ManagementSupport the Regional Account Director and account team in business, operational, and commercial decision making, risk mitigation and pricing advice in partnership with the client and stakeholdersLead all aspects of central contract governance and management, ensuring full compliance with Master Service Agreement and the frameworksCommunicate clear timelines, ownership, objectives and guidelines for all contractual obligationsSupport ongoing cost saving and value engineering projects, including identification, monitoring and analysisIdentify market trends and changes in pricing models to develop recommendations with a focus on value-creating outcomes for JLL and our clientsPartner with account leaders to execute contract changes, variations, and scope managementCommercial Analysis and PricingConduct detailed commercial analysis to support pricing decisions, bid preparations, and contract negotiationsAnalyze operational data across the client's property portfolio to identify commercial opportunities and risksProvide commercial insights and variance analyses for senior leadershipAssist the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecastsMonitor contract performance against commercial targets and KPIsInvoice Management and Payment CoordinationDevelop and maintain all necessary guidelines associated with invoice processingReview and confirm billable item during each invoice cycleEnsure appropriate controls around billing processesReporting and Business IntelligenceLead management and oversight of all commercial reporting, analyzing operational data across the client's property portfolioProvide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting on commercial performance and contract deliveryGuide the team toward completing budget, operating reviews and forecast activities in an accurate, consistent and timely fashionProcess Management and ComplianceEnsure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all contractual and commercial transactionsEnsure all contractual arrangements are compliant with central government requirements and recognized quality management processesMaintain audit-ready documentation and reporting standardsPeople ManagementProvide effective strategic leadership and direction to account team by encouraging a culture of open and constructive collaboration and teamworkEnsure all staff are well trained on contract management systems and commercial processesCore CompetenciesThe Commercial Lead will demonstrate the following competencies:Essential: Extensive central government contracting experience , including deep knowledge of government procurement frameworks, regulations, and compliance requirementsEssential: Strong commercial analysis skills with proven ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insightsEssential: Exceptional cross-geographic communication capabilities with demonstrated ability to translate complex contractual requirements, government procurement frameworks, and compliance obligations into clear, actionable operational solutions for English-speaking teams across 12 different European geographies.
