Mechanical Shift Maintenance TechnicianBrightwork is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading heavy manufacturing business, in the recruitment of a Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technician to join their established Engineering team.Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will provide maintenance support across the site, ensuring plant and equipment operate safely and efficiently. The role will involve both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical fault finding and repair of production equipmentPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activitiesMaintenance of conveyors, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and couplingsBasic electrical fault finding and repairsMaintenance of site services, including compressed air, boilers, cooling towers, and refrigeration systemsSupporting projects to improve reliability and reduce downtimeAbout YouTime-served Mechanical Engineer with a recognised apprenticeshipExperience within a heavy manufacturing, industrial, or production environmentStrong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skillsBasic electrical knowledgeSafety-focused with a proactive approachShift Pattern38-hour week on a rotating Days, Back Shift, and Night Shift pattern (Monday to Friday), with paid breaks.Brightwork Ltd offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
