Secondary Unqualified Teacher

Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and motivated Secondary Unqualified Teachers to work in schools across the Southampton area. As an Unqualified Teacher, you will lead classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, support student progress, and maintain a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, tutors, sports coaches, graduates, and aspiring teachers looking to develop their classroom skills.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects

• Lead classes independently and maintain positive learning environments
\n
• Support students in completing lesson tasks and achieving learning objectives
\n
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
\n
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of student needs
\n
• Monitor engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff
\n
• Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
\n
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
\n

• Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting
\n
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Coach, or similar role desirable

• Confident managing groups of students independently
\n
• Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
\n
• Resilient, adaptable, and proactive approach
\n
• Passionate about supporting young people and education
\n
• Graduates and aspiring teachers encouraged to apply
