Senior Operations Manager

Our client is a well-established principal contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex façade and cladding packages across the residential sector. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead their operational delivery team.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple live projects while managing a team of Operations Managers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will provide strategic leadership across the business's façade and cladding operations, driving performance, mentoring operational teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

You will oversee a portfolio of high-value projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring operational excellence throughout every stage.

Location : Projects are located across London, Office is based South East London

• Lead and manage a team of Operations Managers, providing support, mentoring and performance management.

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple façade and cladding projects simultaneously.
\n
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
\n
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and project performance.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Work closely with the Commercial, Pre-Construction and Design teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
\n
• Monitor project programmes, resources, budgets and overall performance.
\n
• Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, company policies and industry regulations.
\n
• Support recruitment, succession planning and development of operational teams.
\n
• Attend senior management meetings and contribute towards business strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Drive a positive culture focused on quality, collaboration and customer satisfaction.

• Significant experience operating at Senior Operations Manager or Operations Director level within the façade, cladding or external envelope sector, particularly remedial projects.
\n
• Proven experience managing multiple high-value construction projects simultaneously.
\n
• Previous experience leading and developing Operations Managers and site-based teams.
\n
• Strong understanding of façade systems, rainscreen cladding and external envelope construction.
\n
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and manage project risks.
\n
• Strong organisational and decision-making abilities.
\n
• A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence.
\n
