Your new role

\n

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will support the delivery of a broad range of contaminated land, site investigation and brownfield redevelopment projects. Working closely with experienced specialists, you will contribute to both site-based and office-based project work, helping clients address complex ground engineering and land quality challenges.

Key responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Planning, procuring and supervising ground investigations.
  • \n
  • Undertaking Phase 1 Geo-Environmental Desk Studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments.
  • \n
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting environmental and geotechnical data.
  • \n
  • Preparing Phase 2 Geo-Environmental Interpretative Reports.
  • \n
  • Conducting groundwater and ground gas monitoring and assessment.
  • \n
  • Supporting contaminated land assessments and remediation strategies.
  • \n
  • Liaising with contractors, clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • \n
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • \n

This role offers an excellent balance of technical reporting, project delivery and site-based investigation work, providing exposure to a diverse portfolio of exciting projects.

What you'll need to succeed

\n

Essential:

\n
    \n
  • Substantial experience within a UK consultancy geo-environmental or contaminated land role.
  • \n
  • A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • Experience undertaking contaminated land investigations and risk assessments.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of current contaminated land legislation, standards and guidance.
  • \n
  • Experience supervising ground investigations and site works.
  • \n
  • Strong technical reporting and data interpretation skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive and organised approach to project delivery.
  • \n
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • \n

Desirable:

  • Environmental Due Diligence.
  • \n
  • Groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
  • \n
  • Professional site certifications such as CSCS, SSSTS, SMSTS or First Aid.
  • \n
