About the Role\n
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Security Engineer to join a major client programme on a long-term contract through to March 2027. This is a primarily remote opportunity, although candidates must be willing and able to travel to client offices when required.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and resilience of critical platforms and services, working closely with engineering, operations, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient, and highly available platforms. \n
- Embed security best practices within SRE and DevOps processes. \n
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture across environments. \n
- Automate operational and security controls using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. \n
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities. \n
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement security controls and compliance requirements. \n
- Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting. \n
- Conduct vulnerability remediation and support security reviews and audits. \n

- Active SC Clearance (mandatory). \n
- Proven experience in an SRE, DevSecOps, Platform Security, or Security Engineering role. \n
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). \n
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. \n
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes. \n
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. \n
- Strong understanding of security principles, vulnerability management, and security monitoring. \n
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or similar. \n
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills. \n

- Experience working within government, defence, or highly regulated environments. \n
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and cloud security frameworks. \n
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM, or Kubernetes certifications. \n
