Site Supervisor

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client responsible for delivering and maintaining key highway infrastructure projects across the Blackpool area. Due to an increase in planned road resurfacing programmes, they are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee multiple live schemes on an initial 3-6 month contract.Your new role

As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing 3-4 live road resurfacing sites across Blackpool, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.Acting as the client's representative on site, you will monitor contractor performance, carry out inspections, ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, and maintain accurate project records. You will also liaise with contractors, residents and other key stakeholders while ensuring traffic management arrangements are implemented and maintained safely.

Key duties will include:

• Supervising multiple road resurfacing and highway maintenance schemes.
\n
• Monitoring contractor performance, programme and progress.
\n
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks.
\n
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
\n
• Liaising with contractors, residents and stakeholders.
\n
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on progress.
\n
• Overseeing the safe implementation of traffic management.
\n

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
• Previous experience supervising road resurfacing, highways or civil engineering projects.
\n
• A strong understanding of construction methods and health and safety legislation.
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n
• The ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
\n
• A full UK driving licence.
\n

Required qualifications and experience include:

\n
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
\n
• CSCS Card.
\n
• NRSWA Supervisor accreditation - desirable.
\n
• Previous experience working with local authorities.
\n
