I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading consulting client for several Senior Java Developers to join a major Banking & Financial Services programme based in Leeds.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, cloud-native applications within a modern engineering environment, collaborating with talented teams using the latest AWS and DevOps technologies.

The Role

• Design and build scalable Java/Kotlin applications
\n
• Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS
\n
• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making
\n
• Mentor developers and champion engineering best practice
\n
• Work within Agile, DevOps and CI/CD environments
\n

Key Experience

\n
• Strong Java (Kotlin beneficial)
\n
• Spring Boot and Microservices
\n
• AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, OpenSearch)
\n
• SQL and relational databases
\n
• Docker, GitHub Actions and CI/CD
\n
• DevOps and cloud engineering practices
\n

Nice to Have

• Node.js or TypeScript
\n
• Angular

• Datadog

• Amazon Step Functions
