The Assembler (2ND SHIFT) is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell, working under close supervision. This role involves assembly, repair, and test operations on medical catheters, pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related medical device assemblies, following strict compliance, quality, and safety standards in an FDA-regulated environment. The position requires precise manual dexterity, adherence to cleanroom protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure traceability and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices according to standardized procedures
  • Maintain compliance with FDA regulations and quality standards
  • Communicate clearly about ideas, problems, and solutions within the team
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and cleanroom protocols on site
  • Handle small components and parts using microscopes and precision tools
  • Document assembly processes accurately using written and electronic methods
  • Follow dress code and personal hygiene requirements to maintain contamination control
  • Work collaboratively as part of a larger assembly team reporting to the Production Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in medical device assembly
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manual assembly skills, especially with medical devices
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments and protocols
  • Experience operating microscopes during assembly
