Job Description
Step into a rewarding role guiding middle school students in a bilingual English Language Arts classroom near Chicago, IL. As a Middle School ELA teacher supporting a dual-language program, you’ll deliver engaging lessons that empower learners both academically and linguistically—helping prepare them for future success. This is a full-time contract position for the upcoming school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active, valid state teaching license with a middle school ELA endorsement
- Bilingual certification or endorsement (Spanish/English strongly preferred)
- Experience with middle school-aged students in a classroom setting
- Deep understanding of bilingual education practices and curriculum delivery
- Strong classroom management, adaptability, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standards-based ELA curriculum in a bilingual (English/Spanish) classroom
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to engage and motivate students
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, parents, and administrators
- Contribute to ongoing program development and assessment
