Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid in NY
- Minimum of one year of recent operating room experience (scrub and circulate preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated competency in sterilization protocols and perioperative procedures
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced, changing clinical environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care in accordance with facility policies
- Safely administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient needs
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Respond to emergencies and advocate for patient safety at all times
