Our organization is in search of a full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to become a part of the Hauenstein Neurosciences Team based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Hauenstein Neurosciences program is recognized as the most comprehensive and established Neuroscience initiative in the region. We address a wide array of nervous system disorders, including Epilepsy, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Sleep Disorders, and Spine Care. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and the latest treatment methodologies, we focus on healing the mind, body, and spirit. Our team comprises the most experienced professionals in the area, dedicated to crafting personalized treatment plans for each patient.

Practice Highlights:
  • We are the sole provider of Neuro-Ophthalmology services in West Michigan, offering thorough evaluations and treatments for conditions affecting visual pathways and eye movement control.
  • Our services encompass:
    • Diagnosis and management of visual issues linked to the nervous system.
    • Assessment and treatment of sudden or unexplained vision loss.
    • Neuro-Ophthalmologic assessments, including visual acuity, visual field tests, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment, and optical coherence tomography, among others.
    • Comprehensive education for patients and their families.
  • We operate under a robust interdisciplinary care model, collaborating with RNs, MAs, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSWs, Patient Support Coordinators, PTs, OTs, and Vestibular Rehabilitation specialists.
  • We are recognized as a partner in MS Care by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
  • General Neurology consultations may be part of your responsibilities as your practice develops.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible, with the expectation of obtaining board certification within two years of eligibility.
  • A valid Michigan medical license is required upon employment.
  • DEA registration is necessary.
  • BLS Certification is required, with ongoing recertification.
