Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Shelby, Ohio

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide essential vacation coverage in a well-established community pharmacy setting. This role offers the chance to support pharmacy operations during key vacation periods in August, September, and November. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday with extended pharmacist hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring no interruption in patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
• Perform accurate data entry and data verification tasks
• Answer pharmacy phones professionally and assist customers
• Conduct product verification and manage inventory processes
• Receive and sign for controlled/narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians in daily operations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear Ohio pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems, ideally PioneerRx
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills for phone and in-person interactions

Schedule and Location:

• Location: Shelby, Ohio
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy operations do not close for lunch
• Vacation coverage needed on: August 10–14, September 14–18, and November 25
