Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students across a dynamic K-12 caseload in Ingham County. Two Occupational Therapist positions—one full-time and one part-time—are available for the upcoming school year, starting in September. As an essential support for students’ growth and independence, you'll collaborate with educational professionals to create accessible and engaging environments for diverse learners.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (required)
- Previous experience in schools or enthusiasm for working with K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to handle a varied caseload, documentation, and IEP participation
- Dedication to fostering student success and promoting functional outcomes in the school setting
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver therapy services to K-12 students in individual and group settings
- Evaluate students’ needs, write intervention plans, and set measurable goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to design and adapt strategies that support students’ participation in school activities
- Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Travel within Ingham County as assigned to various school sites based on need
