This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a passion for helping children reach their full communication potential within a collaborative educational environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois)
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, teachers, and other specialists

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Design and implement evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Document progress, maintain records, and complete IEP-related paperwork in a timely and organized manner
  • Serve as a resource to school staff and participate in in-service trainings and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Engage families and teachers to maximize each student’s learning and communicative outcomes
  • Remain current on best practices in the field and adhere to all ethical and professional standards
