Job Description
Step into an engaging part-time opportunity serving a close-knit student community as a Special Education Teacher. Located near Arlington, TX, this contract position offers the chance to support K-12 students in a small school setting of approximately 150 students. With a schedule of 10-15 hours per week, you’ll make a meaningful impact while keeping flexibility in your work week. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, starting 8/12/26 and concluding 5/27/27.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teacher certification (TX SPED) required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Passion for making a difference in students’ academic and personal growth
- Previous experience in a small school environment is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction to students with varying abilities across K-12 grades
- Develop and update IEPs in collaboration with parents and staff
- Track progress and adjust teaching strategies to address individual student needs
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
