Working part-time, you’ll have a set schedule totaling 24 hours per week during school days, with time divided between two schools. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience in special education within a K-12 setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Committed to creating inclusive, positive classroom environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse abilities, adapting lessons based on individual learning plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management practices
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging learning space across both school locations

You’ll work Monday through Friday according to this schedule:
Monday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
