Qualifications:
- Current and valid Washington Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with high school students in a classroom or special education setting
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to accommodate a variety of learning profiles
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes student well-being and academic achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, school administrators, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and IEP documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating appropriate accommodations and modifications
