Step into a rewarding contract role shaping students’ growth and success as a skilled Occupational Therapist within a supportive school setting. This assignment, situated near Lake Stevens and serving the Marysville area, runs from September 2nd, 2026, to June 15th, 2027. You’ll work with a K-Transition caseload, playing a vital part in the planning, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of innovative OT programs and individualized education plans (IEPs).

Ideal candidates are committed to fostering inclusive, culturally responsive environments and supporting every aspect of student well-being. Your expertise will help address implicit bias, trauma, and behavioral needs, while supporting child development at all Response-to-Intervention tiers.

Qualifications:

  • Current (or eligible) Washington State ESA certificate as an Occupational Therapist
  • Solid understanding of implicit bias, culturally responsive practices, and anti-racist education
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and the whole child approach, addressing emotional and behavioral needs
  • Expertise in child development and diverse learning styles across elementary and transitional ages
  • Experience or deep understanding of racial equity work and culturally responsive instruction
  • Knowledge of state/federal educational confidentiality requirements and special education regulations
  • Capacity to follow district policies related to family law, truancy, foster/homeless youth, and disability services
  • Training or willingness to obtain training in restraint and aversive intervention protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the design and continuous improvement of the OT program and IEPs
  • Deliver services to K-Transition students, championing individualized support strategies
  • Uphold district values in confidentiality, mandated reporting, and regulatory compliance
