Job Description
Make a lasting impact by providing essential psychological support and guidance to students in a dedicated educational setting. A well-established school district is seeking a contract School Psychologist to work onsite for the 2026–2027 academic year, beginning late August. This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE), with responsibilities spread across multiple school locations, serving a diverse student population.
You’ll play a pivotal role in student development by conducting assessments, delivering direct services, collaborating with staff and families, and promoting a positive school climate. This opportunity offers a fulfilling work-life balance, with approximately 15 hours per week scheduled Monday through Friday.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Minnesota School Psychologist license (required for consideration)
- Recent experience providing psychological services in a school setting preferred
- Skilled in administering assessments, developing intervention strategies, and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Openness to considering qualified School Social Workers for onsite work
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Provide direct support services including counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and student intervention plans
- Serve as a resource on mental health, behavior management, and academic improvement
- Support data-driven decision-making for student success
