Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist supporting students during a maternity leave from November through March 31. In this in-person, itinerant assignment, you’ll make a meaningful difference on two dynamic campuses, working closely with elementary-aged learners.
You’ll provide essential SPED assessments, counseling, and behavior supports, collaborating with school staff to foster a positive academic environment. This is a hands-on role that puts you at the heart of student growth and wellbeing, with the chance to see tangible results from your expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential
- Previous experience working with elementary caseloads in a school setting
- Proficiency with SPED assessments, counseling, and implementing behavioral supports
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites as an itinerant professional
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine special education eligibility and inform individualized education programs
- Deliver counseling services tailored to student needs, fostering social and emotional development
- Develop and implement effective behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with staff and families
- Serve as a resource for school teams, providing expertise and guidance related to students’ educational and behavioral goals
- Maintain timely and accurate records in alignment with district protocols and state compliance standards
