Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active and valid Occupational Therapist licensure
  • Prior experience in school-based, pediatric, or educational environments preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP process, documentation, and case management
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability to varied student needs
  • Ability to effectively manage caseload and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and strengths
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide direct therapy to students, targeting fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing occupational therapy expertise to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Serve as a resource for educational staff and families, sharing strategies for classroom accommodations and student support
  • Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
