Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Prior experience in school-based, pediatric, or educational environments preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP process, documentation, and case management
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Creative problem-solving and adaptability to varied student needs
- Ability to effectively manage caseload and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and strengths
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct therapy to students, targeting fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing occupational therapy expertise to support student goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Serve as a resource for educational staff and families, sharing strategies for classroom accommodations and student support
- Adapt interventions to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
