Embark on a meaningful travel contract as an Occupational Therapist, supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational setting near Palo Alto, CA. This assignment spans two maternity leave coverage periods: one from August to January and the second from January to June, creating the chance to make an ongoing difference in young lives.

You’ll collaborate with educators and families to serve a caseload of 32 direct and 3 consult students, focusing on individuals with a variety of special education eligibilities including primarily autism, as well as speech-language impairment, other health impairments, visual impairment, and specific learning disabilities. Over half of your students are anticipated to need moderate to severe support, allowing you to utilize a wide range of OT skills and experience a truly rewarding role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active California Occupational Therapist license required
  • Previous experience with elementary-aged students preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting students under the Autism eligibility
  • Skilled in working with diverse learning profiles and support needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities

Your Impact:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in each student’s IEP
  • Monitor progress, adapt strategies, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Engage in IEP team meetings and contribute to planning and goal-setting
  • Foster independence and success for students across classroom environments
