Exciting contract opportunity for a passionate Physical Therapist interested in making a difference in educational settings serving students from mild to severe needs. This part-time position (2 days per week, flexible schedule year-round) offers the chance to provide vital PT services on an itinerant basis across multiple school sites in the area. You'll collaborate with dedicated staff, support student growth, and help create accessible, inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapy license required
- IVP Fingerprint Card required prior to start date
- Experience in school-based PT preferred, though all motivated candidates will be considered
- Comfortable working with students across the spectrum of needs, including mild to severe disabilities
- Ability to travel between multiple locations as required (mileage is typically reimbursed)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group PT services to students based on their IEPs and identified needs
- Travel as an itinerant therapist between assigned school sites within the district
- Evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers, related service staff, and parents to ensure holistic student support
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide expert consultation and training to staff on therapy techniques and adaptive strategies
