Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Support Pharmacist to provide essential coverage at outpatient pharmacies located in Peoria and Wheat Ridge, Colorado. This contract-to-hire position offers an engaging role that involves working between two pharmacy locations over a 13+ week assignment, with the potential for permanent placement.
Location:
- Peoria and Wheat Ridge, Colorado
Schedule:
- Pharmacist will split time working between both pharmacy locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and fill prescriptions
- Identify and resolve drug interactions and perform drug utilization reviews
- Dispense controlled substances in strict compliance with regulations
- Manage medication stocking and pharmacy inventory
- Handle incoming pharmacy phone calls professionally
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions
- Provide thorough patient counseling on medications
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the pharmacy manager or director
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Colorado pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of one year experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy settings
- Experience with Epic Willow is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent patient counseling skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between the Peoria and Wheat Ridge locations
