IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist in Lansdale, PA
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacist to support medication preparation within a controlled, sterile environment. This contract position is based in Lansdale, PA, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The assignment is expected to last at least 8 weeks and involves working with a low-volume, one-technician team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare customized sterile medications such as IV fluids using strict aseptic techniques to guarantee patient safety.
- Verify accuracy and sterility of all sterile preparations.
- Ensure compliance with USP and USP standards throughout compounding processes.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and quality assurance.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of cleanroom equipment.
- Conduct final inspections of compounded products before release.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in sterile compounding.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with pharmacy software and documentation systems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and oversee a small technician team.
