Job Description
Step into an engaging and supportive environment as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. The role begins with orientation on August 3 and 4, 2026; students start August 10, with the assignment running through May 21, 2027. There are three full-time (37.5 hours/week), onsite positions available, with student age groups matched to each therapist’s interests.
What you’ll bring:
- Active license or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based OT practice
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Desire for meaningful collaboration and willingness to participate in continuous improvement
- Adaptability and a student-centered approach
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services aligned with student needs and IEP requirements
- Utilize available equipment and testing materials for thorough evaluations and interventions
- Document sessions and progress according to school and regulatory standards
- Collaborate in monthly meetings, roundtables, and professional learning councils
- Participate in the annual review process, sharing insight and reflecting on outcomes
- Engage in regular 1:1 check-ins and team meetings with leadership
- Access and contribute to a dynamic, region-wide network through an interactive intranet for real-time problem-solving and resource sharing
