Job Description
Make a meaningful impact working with students by utilizing your expertise in speech-language pathology in a vibrant educational environment near Cincinnati, OH. This contract opportunity provides the chance to support children’s communication skills during the 2026/27 school year, with two engaging options available: a full-time position for the entirety of the year, or a temporary assignment covering a valued colleague’s maternity leave from August 19th through September 30th (0.8 FTE).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an SLP in Ohio
- Prior experience delivering services in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively manage caseload, timelines, and documentation requirements
- Dedication to fostering student development and progress
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct (individual and group) and consultative therapy in accordance with school and IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting and progress monitoring
- Educate and support school staff in strategies for effective communication within the classroom
