School Occupational Therapist - Corona, California

This position covers a maternity leave, beginning in early September and extending through December, with the potential for continued engagement throughout the school year. Work full-time hours supporting students’ growth and development, while collaborating closely with an experienced COTA to further enrich the impact you’ll have in the classroom environment.

What we’re seeking:

• California Occupational Therapist license (active and in good standing)
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents
• Knowledge of IEPs, progress monitoring, and school-based therapy documentation
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and a COTA
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting a diverse range of student needs
• Commitment to fostering students’ functional independence in the academic environment

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in IEPs
• Assess students’ functional performance and contribute to evaluation reports
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and intervention strategies
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student success
• Document progress and maintain thorough records in accordance with school policies
• Supervise and mentor the COTA assigned to your caseload
• Participate in meetings, contribute insight, and support compliance with special education requirements
