Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist for a contract position covering a maternity leave. Primarily serving two sites in a collegial district, you'll work in-person with a collaborative team focused on creating positive learning environments. This itinerant role offers diverse experiences as you provide essential services within Special Education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (California credentials preferred)
- Experience with elementary (Elm) caseloads
- Skilled in SPED assessments, counseling, and implementing behavioral supports
- Ability to manage responsibilities at multiple sites (itinerant position)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to in-person engagement with staff and students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Special Education assessments for elementary students
- Provide individual and group counseling, supporting social-emotional development
- Develop and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support student needs
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, providing information and recommendations
- Maintain thorough documentation and evaluation records in compliance with district and state guidelines
This assignment spans November through March 31, ensuring continuity of care and support during a colleague’s leave.
