Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
• Prior experience in educational or school-based settings is highly preferred
• Ability to manage a flexible caseload, supporting 1–2 students at a time and adapting to evolving needs
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working onsite or virtually for the right candidate

What You’ll Do:

• Interpret classroom instruction, group discussions, assemblies, and extracurricular activities for assigned students
• Foster understanding and participation for students in both academic and social contexts
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to meet individual student needs
• Prepare for and adapt to a variety of school environments and curricula
• Contribute insights to student planning meetings when relevant
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all school and district policies
