Step into an impactful role serving Pre-K students as a speech-language pathologist on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This opportunity is tailored for an SLP (CCC required) who thrives in collaborative settings and values making a difference during a key developmental period.

This 0.8 FTE position runs from August 19 through November 11, offering flexibility for 2 to 4 workdays per week. Your schedule will generally span from 8:10 AM - 3:20 PM, with primary responsibilities at Madison, as well as some time at a neighboring building, both hosting Pre-K classrooms.

You’ll work in a shared office environment and partner closely with district SLP colleagues on evaluations and program planning. Expect to collaborate during regular Tuesday meetings, an essential part of the weekly routine.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP-CCC and experience working within school settings, particularly Pre-K.
  • Proficiency supporting students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • Skilled in conducting thorough speech-language evaluations, including participating in Problem-Based Assessments.
  • Ability to deliver a continuum of services—from speech-only interventions to supporting students in self-contained classrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to approximately 35 students identified with speech/language needs across two buildings.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to foster student communication development.
  • Ensure robust documentation of student progress and ongoing needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, especially on Tuesdays, contributing your speech-language expertise.
