Salary Range: $56.66 - $70.12 per hour

The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including their educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
Sign-On Bonus: $12,000
Job Overview:The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will support the nuclear physician in executing specialized imaging procedures.
Qualifications:Required:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Current license from the State of New Jersey.
- Certification from ARRT and/or NMTCB.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
- At least two years of experience as a staff technologist in a hospital setting.
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT certification is preferred.
- Adhere to the standards set by the hospital and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Complete special assignments from the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist the nuclear physician with specialized imaging procedures.
- Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and results are validated before patient release.
- Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform quality control on gamma cameras according to departmental guidelines, promptly reporting any issues to the lead technologist.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients, including expected wait times, while ensuring their comfort during the process. Capture optimal images using specified technical parameters.
- Verify patient identities (both inpatient and outpatient) in accordance with hospital standard operating procedures prior to any procedure.
- Handle all hot lab functions, including the receipt, use, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, strictly following vendor, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.
