Staff Pharmacist - East Saint Louis, IL

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers approximately 24-30 hours per week with a schedule that primarily focuses on weekday and weekend pharmacy hours. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Illinois and have experience working in a retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Fill, check, and verify prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide professional patient counseling and medication guidance
• Manage emergency orders on Sundays as required
• Participate in on-call rotation with compensation during on-call hours
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and policies

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Emergency orders only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on-call

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy License required
• PharmD degree preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx software preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to accuracy and patient safety
