Lead Where It Matters Most — Behavioral Health House Supervisor

This is not your average nursing leadership role. As a House Supervisor in a 96-bed behavioral health hospital in Conroe, Texas, you will be the steady, decisive force that keeps clinical operations running at the highest standard — every night, every shift, every patient.

You will oversee nursing and hospital operations during your assigned shift, supervise staffing and scheduling, provide direct nursing care when needed, and support department managers with education, coaching, and compliance. This is a role built for an experienced RN leader who thrives under pressure, leads with confidence, and is genuinely passionate about behavioral health.

What You'll Do

As House Supervisor you will manage scheduling and staffing for the nursing department, ensure coverage, minimize overtime and agency use, and approve or deny time-off requests, monitor staff attendance and maintain records of tardiness and absences, provide backup nursing and intake assistance while advocating for patients, supervise hospital operations when administration is not present, oversee staff performance, and provide coaching and education, conduct staff evaluations and deliver disciplinary actions professionally and promptly, assist the Director of Nursing in conducting department meetings and preparing meeting minutes, maintain knowledge of regulatory standards including TJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws, perform conflict resolution and mediation with staff involving appropriate leadership when necessary, conduct thorough investigations and document accurate findings for reporting, and demonstrate comprehensive nursing skills including assessments, treatment planning, admission and discharge procedures, medication administration, and direct patient care as needed.
