We are seeking dedicated professionals for two full-time contract openings—one focusing on a Special Day Class (SDC), and the other in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP). Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Proven classroom management and differentiated instruction abilities for diverse learners
  • Experience in either SDC or RSP settings, or a strong desire to develop expertise in these areas
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized learning plans for students with varying needs in either SDC or RSP environments
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs aligned with state and federal requirements
  • Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to integrate students into appropriate learning situations
  • Track and report student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
